We finally have a schedule for the 49ers!  Thankfully the 49ers are not opening the season on Monday Night Football as the double header late game.  Two years in a row the team has started the season on Monday night, won, then went on to have a disappointing season.
49ers open up the season at home VS the Panthers.  Big question is: will Cam Newton be ready to go?  The game will take place at 1 PM PST so if you plan on going to the game, bring some sun screen.  If its sunny it will be hotter than you would expect – especially at Levi’s.
Next the team travels to the Pacific Northwest to take on the defending NFC West champs in Seattle.  49ers haven’t won there in what feels like forever (2011 – thanks Alex Smith). Then the team has a short week for a home game on Thursday vs the LA Rams.  It certainly will be a tough test for new head coach Kyle Shanahan to start his 49ers career against the Panthers, Seahawks, and Rams.
49ers get a mini-bye week after the Thursday game with a total of 10 days off, and they’ll need it because the next three games are on the road.  Once they survive the long road trip three of the next four will be at home in Santa Clara.
The bye week this season comes in week 11 followed by a visit from the defending NFC West champions: Seahawks. San Francisco finishes the season in LA vs the Rams.
All in all, it seems like a tough schedule for new head coach Kyle Shanahan.  Stay tuned for post draft game by game predictions from 49ersHive!
